About Us
Wow, thanks for taking the time to look at our About Us page!
Fix It Micro is made up of a team of two enthusiastic computer nerds and techies that enjoy working with people and helping people understand computer concepts. Here’s a bit about us:
Jason Kelly is a walking, talking encyclopedia. If you can keep up with the constant amount of information he has to share, you will be better off, but probably a little bit tired. After realizing he was sharing helpful information with nearly everyone he came into contact with, he decided to co-found an organization based on helping people utilize the latest technology not only for self improvement, but the collective betterment of mankind. After several consulting and sales stints with several large organizations he came to realize that the only way to be happy in life is to find what you are good at and become the best in your field of expertise. He loves riding and working on two wheeled transportation, enjoys any outdoor activities and can build furniture. He enjoys meeting and helping new people, sharing new technology, discovering the internet and fresh salsa. Jason’s advice to anyone who will listen is:
“The key to success is to discover your strengths and weaknesses. Seek out people with complimentary talents you do not posses. Make detail oriented action item lists based around a common goal. Then proceed with accountability to deadlines.”
Despite his own unappreciative attitude towards television sitcoms, ironically he thinks he’s funnier than he actually is. Jason can always be contacted directly via skype (kelly_jason) and by email.
Spencer Thornock broke his first computer in 1988, he was 8 years old and it was an Apple 2E. He liked to drag the hard drive into the trash bin. His father eventually decided to save himself some time by teaching Spencer how to fix it. From that point forward Spencer has built custom computers running MS-DOS, and every version of Microsoft windows. Spencer’s TV Production class in High School was featured in a Microsoft Windows 98 promotional video. Spencer has contracted for Microsoft during the Windows 2000 worldwide deployment, writing automated installation scripts that were used to upgrade computers worldwide for Motorola. He has worked at retail computer stores such as CompUSA providing customers with information about PC’s and Mac’s, and has worked in computer support capacities for companies like Kinkos and The University of Phoenix Online. Spencer was the Director of Technology for HyBurn Incorporated where he spearheaded the design of a proprietary computer that was able to burn 48 CD’s at one time. He is enthralled by Graphic Design and Website Development specializing in building website’s of any shape or size. In his spare time, Spencer regularly satisfies his addiction to Starbucks coffee, and thoroughly enjoys helping people get more out of their computers, even the really old ones!
